As mentioned in the Mission Statement, we don't want this Linkshell to be filled with rules, overmanagement and discrimination against personal tastes. However, basic rules still need to be put in place:
These may be put up for review and/or changed at any time; however, rest assured that we will notify everyone and try to put as many as possible up for vote.
Rules & Regulations
1. Respect your fellow clan members (if they play the same game as you or not)
If you give respect you shall get respect in return, do not intentionally insult or attack another member for any reason!
2. No Discrimination, Judgement or Stereotyping
Everyone has the right to do and be whatever they want, and it's no one else's business.
3. No strong vulgar or sexual content
We are not a PG-13 clan by any means, but even adults can be offended by an excessive amount of vulgarity, try to keep it to a minimum as much as possible!
4. Be a team player
This is a clan focused on being a team, a partnership of friends, if you wish to play solo all the time, be anti-social and/or use us purely for your own personal benefit, you are not welcome here!
Character Names
There are also a few restrictions on avatars and character names:
1. No Avatar or Name can break any of the above rules!
Common sense would make this obvious but this way you can't say we didn't warn you.
2. Forum names must match your main character's FIRST name
Just because it's easier that way!
3. Names must be unique
Names that are alterations of other names are not accepted here (ex: Sappyroth, Xxxcloudxxx, legolazxix, etc.) You may be asked to change it if it is deemed unacceptable before being granted membership, please try to keep an open mind about this, as it is not in any way meant as an insult to you or your tastes. If you are not sure about your name, feel free to send a Leader or Officer a PM, or even ask in the Shoutbox included in our forums.
4. Avatars must fit our environment
Use your own judgement for your avatar, but if it is found to be offensive, or there is another type of issue with it, you will be asked to replace it.
Consequences
If you break any of the above rules (which we consider to be much more lenient than most other clans out there) you will be given a warning, or temporarily banned based on the severity. After you are given THREE WARNINGS reasonable action will be taken. If a permanent ban is considered, it will be put to a vote between all officers and leaders, and you will be notified of our decision.
Forum Expectations
We don't want the forums to overshadow the game we are playing, but as it stands it is one of the best forms of communication since we're not all going to be in-game at the same time (and we did work hard on making it look purrty!) so we don't ask any member that does not wish to to visit every day and respond to every thread.
What we do ask for, however, is that you stay in touch and visit from time to time in case of important news, announcements, notices, updates, what have you. To make things easier for our members we have a Twitter page, a Facebook page and even a Steam community group, there should be no excuse not to check in on one of the four things once in a while.
M.I.A. Members Procedures
If a member is found not to have visited the forums or been seen in-game in over 3 weeks without having told anyone of his/her intentions, we may send a notice via email as a warning. Should you receive one of those emails you have a week to visit the forums before you're made a "Companion", at which point you're fully welcome back into the LS should you re-appear, do not consider it a punishment, it will merely be a means of having an accurate list of active members.
